The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it really is alarmed regarding the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly here because of the sassa status check lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area regularly. The company point created for intervention experiences a high influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to enable the servicing of all prospects and maximize entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
